The family I travelled with were adults. They had a separate room. I asked on arrival for a room with a stand up shower rather than/or in addition to a bathtub. (I'd like that to be a filter on your booking format). The only room the could give me was a "family room" which was large and included a set of bunk beds we did not need. The mattress on our bed could be improved upon. The bathroom was nice but small.
There was an elevator but it was very slow and tiny. The carpet went half way up the walls of the elevator and we did not feel it was very clean.
The young lady on the front desk when we arrived and was on again during our stay was without any welcoming personality. Just stated what we needed to pay for breakfast and parking.
My family members had a room with a tub in the bathroom. It was spacious and comfortable. They used the pool and gym which they said was very nice. We did not use any spa services.
The breakfast buffet was good and the dining room staff very nice, friendly and accommodating. We had dinner there one night and it was good. The bar had a lovely big coffee machine but apparently the bar tender couldn't work it as I was told a decaff latte was possible and then it wasn't because he didn't know how.
I feel for the price, the breakfast should be included and also the parking. It adds a lot to the cost especially when renting two rooms.
Locationwise it's easy to get to but there are no shops or coffee shops/bakeries etc near the hotel.
There was a bus tour staying at the hotel when we were there. They seemed to be well looked after. However, later in the season this could possibly make the hotel very busy. There were relatively few other guests when we were there so we had no trouble parking etc. The parking is at the back and the only way in is the front door with steps so if carrying luggage is an issue might not work well for some people.

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Bournemouth’s award-winning beaches, The Kensington Hotel offers bright, traditionally furnished rooms with private bathrooms.

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centered on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road heads east to neighboring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also has hotels near the BIC (Bournemouth International Center) in the West Cliff area. This convention center and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon with far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Nearby, there's a Grade I registered historic church, and St. Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein."
On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Center, is Bournemouth Airport.
Great beaches for kids, has a little fun fair on the pier.

Most things are within walking distance.
We ate at Harry Ramsdens, fish and chips is a must at the seaside.
Car parking can be a challenge, book a hotel with a carpark.

Me and my fiance went with friends for our sten Do (stag&hen). It was pleasant weather, relatively affordable, good food & entertaining mini golf. We also went to the mini market Sunday morning which we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend as it was not too busy.

Bournemouth is a very nice town with beautiful sandy beaches. There is plenty of choices for lunch and dinner.
It is a bit out-of-date and looks like its glory days are gone though, as there were many closed shops at the city centre and the feeling was it looked a bit sad and abandoned.

The problem with Bournemouth is it is rather run down there are a lot of homeless people sleeping in doorways i think there were rumours of rats in the park but the bus system is brilliant we did go to swanage and Poole shopping overall I would go to Bournemouth again but would not walk about in the dark
Ged and Jane were very welcoming. They put Easter chocolate eggs on the bed for us, which was a really nice touch.
-The room was exactly like the pictures! It was the cleanest room I've been in a bed& breakfast/hotel in the UK. The room was on the top floor, so it can be quite warm in the from time to time, but there is an air-conditioning unit!
-Breakfast was lovely!
-Locationwise, it's 5min walk from the Bournemouth train station. It takes something like 20-30min to walk to the city centre.
Sue, the proprietor was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I needed Oat Milk and it was supplied.
The breakfast was the best we have ever had. The choice was Continental, Full English or both, top quality.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with ensuite facilities.
There was off road parking available.
The hotel is just a 5 min walk from the beach and town, also just 45 min walk along seafront to Bournemouth.
We will definitely be coming back...
I was impressed with everything. Staff were amazing and the breakfast was run very efficiently. The room was clean and comfortable. Location was also perfect. Opposite shopping and cinema and a short walk to the beach and pier. Stayed at few places in Bournemouth as visit my daughter and I would certainly stay here again. Unfortunately all hotels are expensive around the area but this was one of the cheaper options but certainly didn’t feel I was in a cheap hotel.
Really lovely staff and very helpful. I like all the Britannia hotels.
Had not got a room for the next night – so stayed at the Royal Bath hotel -which also is very good and a lovely staff and very helpful too. I asked for a single room and was given a very comfortable double room in both hotels. I have a mobility scooter and it was easy to be able to charge it up each night .I come to Bournemouth quite often and usually stay in a Britannia hotel.
Large ensuite room with sea view was dated but spotlessly clean, facilities included a coffee pod machine, fridge and safe which was a bonus. Located close to the town and seafront with convenient parking in BIC centre, the Crab restaurant which is part of the hotel is excellent, as was the breakfast. All staff members were very polite and helpful, this is now becoming a rare feature.
Lovely location, close to the beach and shops. Hotel Celebrity was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and found it to be very reasonable in price. Breakfast was very good with a selection of fruit, cereal and a buffet style help yourself full English. Would definitely recommend Hotel Celebrity as a place to stay in Bournemouth.
Hotel reception guy was very welcoming and polite. Room was very spacious and clean. Location is defo the best thing literally a 2 min drive from the beach! I read the reviews for the hotel after I booked and I really was dreading checking in but I wouldn’t trust any of them because the hotel was actually lovely. Yes its dated but it’s nice. You get what you pay for.
Everything was amazing and comfortable, the lovely gentleman at the reception was extremely accommodating and kind, and even helped us chill our wine and brought us wine glasses to our room.
The breakfast next door was one of the best I've had at a hotel in the UK, and the staff was also amazing. All in all 10 out of 10, we will come back for a longer stay!
Decor lovely and the beds very good quality. Our room was small but perfectly formed. The complementary Prosecco, ale and chocolates were a really nice touch. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the beach which was fine. Standard of the accommodation is far superior to that on offer in most of the hotels in Bournemouth and value for money was excellent.
Located in the cleaner and leafier end of west Bournemouth hotel land, this small hotel is one of many in between the city centre (The Triangle) and the West Cliff. Basic, a bit dated but functional and comfortable. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, letting me leave a suitcase for a few hours after I checked out. Good value.
This place isn’t the Ritz obviously, but it’s very clean, decent sized room, helpful staff, easy check in and out. It’s an absolute bargain, I’ve stayed in much more expensive hotels in Bournemouth and they weren’t as nice. Definitely recommend, just not for your honeymoon!
Hotel and staff were delightful🤗.
Delicious afternoon tea with the best selection of vegetarian sandwiches I've ever had 😋.
Room was excellent 😍.
Spa treatments were relaxing and you got the full 60mins 😁 not at all rushed, and the relaxation room was pure indulgence 😌
Being back at the Royal Bath Hotel since the mid seventies when I was a trainee hotel manager.
To experience of a warm welcome at Reception and I have to say that Andreea, behind the desk was such a warm welcome to Bournemouth, she needs an award in Hospitality.
I loved this beautiful hotel in Bournemouth city centre. My room, bed, facilities, cleanliness, location, and value were all fabulous. I was staying alone and felt as comfortable and safe as if I were in my own home. Will book again when I travel to Bournemouth.
The hotel had friendly, very helpful staff… the location was absolutely perfect for going into Bournemouth or walking the beach to sandbanks. It was clean and had everything you needed… I can’t believe how good it was for the price!!
Ideal location to walk along the beach or hop on the little train. Hotel is very pleasant, rooms are slightly dated but it's very clean and the staff were great. Would definitely come again.
Hands down one of the best properties I have stayed. The home felt like a home. It’s cosy decorated to a high standard. Please stay here over any hotel when you visit Bournemouth.
Ideal hotel to be right in the centre of Bournemouth. By pier, beach, park and restaurants. Best to choose room with Sea View. All very comfortable. Staff helpful.
Great hotel within easy walking distance to the town and the beach. Large bedroom, nice bar area and great breakfast. All staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.
